ILIM Investment Outlook Q2 Update: Shifting Sands

Policy developments so far in 2025 have altered global dynamics with trade tensions likely to keep uncertainty elevated in the coming months, despite relief that the US is pausing proposed “reciprocal” tariffs for three months. We have a neutral call on equities as downside risks have risen and policy visibility is lacking although share prices have fallen significantly and valuations are now below long term averages which provide upside potential if positive surprises emerge. Maintaining diversified exposure with strong risk-management features remains key for investors during these turbulent times.
